Introducing The Alliance Member Circle Coming Summer 2026

The Circle is our online home for our community of innovators.  All staff from member organizations receive access to key areas within The Circle.  Nonmembers can join as a subscriber and have access to Alliance News, Case Studies, Presentations and special learning events.

Local government leaders face complex challenges that rarely have one-size-fits-all solutions.

The Alliance Member Circle creates a trusted environment where our practitioners can learn from one another, exchange ideas, and strengthen their ability to lead meaningful change in their communities.

At its core, The Circle is about accelerating learning through connection.

01
It Creates a Trusted Space for Real Conversations

Members benefit from candid peer-to-peer dialogue with professionals who understand the realities of local government leadership. These conversations often surface practical solutions that cannot be found in reports or formal training alone.

The result is insight that is timely, relevant, and immediately applicable.

02
It Creates a Trusted Space for Real Conversations

When communities share what they are testing, adapting, and improving, innovation spreads more quickly. We do this within The Circle by sharing research, case studies, presentations, and learning opportunities. Members avoid starting from scratch and instead build on the experience of peers facing similar challenges.

This shortens the path from idea to implementation.

03
It Strengthens Innovation Capacity and the Ability to Navigate Change Across Organizations

Knowledge sharing supports:

  • better decision-making
  • stronger service delivery approaches
  • informed experimentation
  • confidence in trying new solutions

Peer learning turns individual innovation efforts into collective progress.

04
It Connects Leaders Across Jurisdictions and Roles

The Member Circle brings together local governments professionals from across the country who are committed to improving local government.

These relationships create lasting professional networks that extend beyond a single program or event. These connections become one of the most valuable benefits of membership.

05
It Supports Anticipatory Governance and Long-Term Thinking

By sharing emerging practices and future-focused ideas, members help each other prepare for what is coming next, not just respond to what is happening now.

This strengthens the ability of local governments to adapt and lead in a changing environment.

06
We are Building a Community of Pioneers

The Alliance Member Circle is more than a network, it is a community of leaders shaping the future of local government together. Through shared learning and collaboration, members help advance practices that strengthen organizations and improve outcomes for residents.

The Alliance Member Circle transforms individual experience into shared knowledge, and shared knowledge into stronger communities

Alliance Full Members will receive access to all member only spaces designed within The Circle including Member Connect, Knowledge Library, the Learning Path, and Discussion Channels focusing on Strategic Foresight, Performance Excellence, Leadership and Technology.
