Join the Alliance for Innovation and Justin Golbabai with the City of Austin, TX on September 20th for a short 30 minute deep dive into their award winning Neighborhood Partnering Program (NPP).  Seen as cutting edge of placemaking and building neighborhood scale green infrastructure, NPP as a means to fund and build small community projects.  But, the program does not end there – it manages the implementation from concept to construction!  Stay tuned after the live session for Q & A.

NPP has also been the recipient of numerous national awards: American Planning Association’s 2015 Leadership in Sustainability Award, the American Public Works Association’s 2015 Management Innovation Award as well as a 2016 TLG Outstanding Achievement in Local Government Innovation Award.

About the Presenter:

Justin Golbabai serves as the Program Manager for the City of Austin’s award-winning Neighborhood Partnering Program. He hold a Bachelors of Arts in Economics and Sociology from the University of Notre Dame and a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Kansas. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and is accredited through the Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU-A). Driven by the question “What environment best facilitates human flourishing?”, his career has taken him to unique places – from the halls of British Parliament, to a shelter for immigrants and refugees, to work as a city and neighborhood planner. Despite winning the 2010 Punniest of Show at the O’Henry World Pun-Off Championships, he considers his greatest accomplishment marrying the woman of his dreams and raising their two children.
