Mike Funk was appointed Assistant City Manager/HR Director in February 2015. He has more than 22 years of city administration experience having worked in suburban and rural communities. Since joining Maplewood, his focus is to create a high performing organizational culture through strategic planning, performance measurement, and continuous improvement.  Previously, he served as City Administrator for Minnetrista, MN; Olivia, MN; and Gibbon, NE. He is a Credentialed Manager recognized by the International City/County Management Association.
