Launched in 2005, the Salisbury Way Initiative or Sway, has changed the culture at the City of Salisbury. Today, the program, still implemented by employees, has taken our customer service initiative to a new level that is not only about customer service, but also who we are as an organization. Sway has moved the needle for our organization and employees are proud to represent the City.
Learn on July 11 in this virtual learning session straight from TLG 2019, how one city embraced their biggest asset – employees and ensured their voices are heard. Employees take ownership and pride that could not have been achieved without the unique creation and implementation of Sway. Employees now have relationships across departments. They have been empowered, encouraged and supported to make decisions on all levels in order to do the right thing.
Learning Objectives:
- What does going beyond and branding your customer service culture look like?
- Why is investing in a culture initiative important?
- How do you engage employees and break down silos to create an organizational culture change?
