The City of North Richland Hills has joined other communities across the state in support of high speed rail, specifically the Texas T-Bone High-Speed Rail Corridor.
By connecting the three largest metropolitan areas in Texas - Houston, Austin/San Antonio and Dallas/Fort Worth - the Texas T-Bone will provide an alternative method for travel within Texas as opposed to highways and air travel.
Alternative means of transportation become more attractive as gas prices continue to increase and congestion builds on area highways. The Texas T-Bone will connect to DFW airport, where local commuter rail lines will take passengers to and from surrounding communities including North Richland Hills.
