Jablowski named SVP for Collaborative Partnerships

The Alliance for Innovation has announced the appointment of John J. Jablowski, Jr. to serve as a professional advisor related to Collaborative Partnerships.

Phoenix, AZ – The Alliance for Innovation has announced the appointment of John J. Jablowski, Jr. to serve as a professional advisor in the newly created position of Senior Vice-President of Collaborative Partnerships.

            The Alliance is an international organization headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona that builds thriving communities through transformative innovations in local government service delivery and community engagement.  

The growing membership of the Alliance represents over 50 Million North Americans and nearly 300,000 local government employees in over 250 communities.

Working with the Executive Team, Jablowski will direct the organization’s effort to bringing innovative collaborative partnerships to transform how local governments provide services

            “John’s background in local government, the private sector, non-profit management and academia bring the right blend at the right time for the Alliance” said CEO Joel Carnes upon the announcement.

             “The Alliance is excited to enhance our collaborations and partner with like-minded governments and institutions that seek to truly transform our communities” Carnes concluded.

        In this leadership role, Jablowski will spearhead national and international programs to create working partnerships between local governments, corporations, academia and the philanthropic community.

            “Local government must lead innovation as we are at the forefront of delivering service to the residents, businesses and visitors to our communities and I am honored to be a part of the outstanding team at the Alliance for Innovation.  By transforming thinking in local government, we can embrace innovation and provide an improved quality of life throughout North America.  Let’s now take community transformation to the next level” noted Jablowski upon his appointment.

             Jablowski brings over 25 years of experience in creating public-private partnerships through service in local elected and appointed offices including Mayor of Ashley, Wilkes-Barre Township Council and Tobyhanna Township Manager where he helped establish Pocono Springs Entertainment Village.  This $350+ Million public-private partnership is transforming the Northeast and creating over 2000 construction jobs and 1200 full time jobs as one of the largest destination entertainment projects in North America with an estimated 4.2 Million visitors annually.   

            In addition, he served as District Director for Pennsylvania House Majority Policy Chair, a Congressional Assistant and Vice-President for several major American financial institutions collectively managing over $2 Billion in local government partnerships. 

            He holds a master’s degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Organizational Management along with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science.  Jablowski was the 1st Executive Director of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of NEPA, Development Director for the NEPA Philharmonic and served as a long time Instructor in Political Science & Geography at the Wilkes-Barre Campus of Penn State University.
