Community Facilities Project Partnership Still Hard at Work

The latest addition to the Life, Well Run success stories highlights the fruitful collaboration among the city council, board of education, youth association, and soccer association in Mountain Brook, Alabama (pop. 20,500), to build an athletic complex on the city’s high school and junior high school campuses.

Today, the Mountain Brook Athletic Complex is the realization of the city’s vision. Located behind the local high school, the complex includes six baseball/softball fields, three soccer fields, six tennis courts, a children’s playground, a concession stand, and restroom facilities. It stays busy year round with community sporting events organized by Mountain Brook Athletics and Mountain Brook Soccer.

With nearly 100 entries now online, the “Success Stories” section of the Life, Well Run campaign website highlights the programs, projects, and activities directed by professional city, town, and county managers that improved service delivery and enhanced the quality of life for residents.
