Drucker Institute and Hdl Join the Alliance Corporate Partner Program

The Alliance for Innovation is pleased to announce two new Partnerships with an outstanding nonprofit - Drucker Institute and its Drucker Playbook for the Public Sector, and a dynamic private sector organization – HdL Companies.  While the name Drucker may be familiar to most of you, the Playbook is a new tool for public sector leaders.  HdL Companies may not be as familiar, but if tax revenues, accurate forecasts and the power to unleash data analytics for the benefit of your communities is important to you, check out HdL.  See below for more information on both new Partners:

The Drucker Playbook for the Public Sector equips local government leaders with tools for individual, team and organizational effectiveness. Based on a model of leadership as a marriage of Vision, Management, Performance, and Character, the Playbook’s seven modules share practical, Drucker-based lessons that participants implement in their agencies, as well as for their own professional development.

Using a custom online Learning Management System, Drucker Playbook participants move at their own pace through a series of recorded training sessions that blend presentations by Drucker Institute trainers, animated case studies, excerpted and adapted Drucker texts, engaging activities and original audio and video recordings of the late Peter Drucker himself. Drucker Institute staff members are available for direct support to help Drucker Playbook participants move quickly from ideas to action to results.

“The Drucker Playbook provides foundational tools for effectiveness,” says Lawrence Greenspun, senior manager of public sector engagement at the Drucker Institute.

“Local government leaders across the country—and their teams—have applied lessons from the Drucker Playbook to transform the way they work and produce positive results in the communities they serve.”

The Drucker Institute’s mission—strengthening organizations to strengthen society—is “in terrific alignment with the Alliance for Innovation’s efforts to inspire innovation in the work of local governments,” said Zach First, the Drucker Institute’s executive director. “Now more than ever, society needs an innovative public sector.”

Alliance President Karen Thoreson is pleased to welcome the Partnership.  “The Drucker Institute’s strength in broad cross-sector experience incorporates relevant private and nonprofit elements, adapting them effectively for local governments.  The Alliance membership will particularly appreciate the Playbook’s flexibility for implementation with individual, team and organizational development goals.  Peter Drucker’s legacy of enduring wisdom and challenge to move from ideas to action to results with better outcomes is deeply ingrained in the Alliance’s mission.”

The Drucker Playbook is priced at $299 per person, with discounts available for large groups. To register, signup online (credit card required) or contact Lawrence Greenspun at or 909.607.8755.
