What you will be doing
Performs a variety of administrative, technical and analytical work in support of the Economic Development Division and the Town of Erie Urban Renewal Authority (TOEURA). Assists with the solicitation of new and expanded retail, mixed use, office and industrial developments and supports existing business retention. Works closely with other departments/divisions, external entities and the public.

Serves as first point of contact for general inquiries.
Provides direct administrative and technical support for the operation and maintenance of the Economic Development Division and the Town of Erie Urban Renewal Authority.
Works independently, manages projects, establishes timelines, identifies project participants, maintains required documentation, monitors and reports on the progress of assigned projects.
Administers contracts and agreements ensuring accuracy and proper approval and required signatures are obtained.
Monitors established database of businesses, updates, maintains and manages tracking of current businesses, potential prospects and individual requests
Researches and records growth trends of the Town of Erie specific to industry sectors.
Assists Economic Development Director (EDD) with contacting new business, assessing needs and providing response to demographic, economic and industry related opportunity within the Town of Erie.
Collaborates with EDD with regard to outreach efforts including content development, research and print production of promotional materials including but not limited to, community profile, annual report, real estate and marketing brochure packets.
Prepares presentation materials including PowerPoint, illustrations, maps and charts.
Supports relationships and partnership development of new and existing business and economic development groups.
Networks with state, regional and national economic development entities; establishes and maintains cooperative working relationship with other economic development organizations at all levels.
Responsible for the coordination of Town related economic development special events.
Updates and maintains the Town's economic development and TOE urban renewal authority web pages.
Organizes, coordinates travel, product and material shipment for conventions and/or prospect trips.
Assists with the coordination of divisional budget development and monitors budget throughout the year.
Works closely with the Finance Department regarding the processing of invoices, purchase orders, billing and other finance related activities.
May be required to attend Board and TOEURA meetings and/or study sessions and events that can be after normal work hours.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in public administration, business, planning, economics, real estate or a related field.
Four years of public sector business/economic development experience or other closely related background.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Valid Colorado Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record.
