Continuously Improving Culture

The City of Tacoma has been working to develop a culture of inquiry and improvement over the past 3 years. In 2015, the City dedicated resources (1.5 FTE) to a Continuous Improvement Initiative. We began the task of working to change culture through actions, projects and experiences working together as an organization. Our approach has been intentionally focused on culture changes, addressing cultural barriers to innovation, but outwardly has focused on problem solving and improving services directly.
