Achieving Community Excellence

In light of the nationwide recession in in the early 2000’s, Greeley City shifted greater focus on the city’s civic infrastructure, thus ACE was born. This program placed a heightened importance on youth and the local school district which resulted in a number of new programs implemented to help foster strong leaders and workers. This document details the initial concerns that Greeley had as well as how they were able to allocate funds for said programs despite the recession. The program has been nominated for the 2016 Local Government Excellence Awards in the category of Community Partnership (populations of 50,000 and greater).
