Joining the Mayor and Avondale City Council members, will be program facilitators of “Come & Play”.  Come & Play is a joint effort between the City of Avondale, Phoenix Children’s Hospital & First Things First*.  The story time area transforms into a large playroom where moms, dads, caregivers and kids can meet to play and socialize. The purpose is to provide a fun destination to learn and play. Come & Play is open to all babies, toddlers, and young children up to age five, accompanied by an adult. There is no cost. There is no registration required-- Come & Play is intended to be an open play date and doesn't have activities planned.

Avondale’s series of “City Hall Comes To You” events allow elected officials and city staff to be more accessible to residents, encouraging a one-on-one dialogue between residents and the city. During these informal gatherings, held at public gathering places such as local coffee shops and grocery stores in Avondale, residents can share their comments and ideas so the city can make informed decisions to best serve the public. For more information, call the Community Relations Department at 623-333-1600. For inquiries about Come & Play, contact the playgroup coordinator, Candice Ratlief, at 623-333-2721.
